Customer Reviews. My elementary school daughter has been interested in telescopes for over a year now. We had purchased a big box store telescope for about the same price. We almost never got it focused, and if we did it seemed to fall apart almost immediately. This telescope was the replacement. Our experience with with the Celestron telescope couldn't be more different. It is sturdy, and we had it focused and working within minutes of getting it out of the box. My daughter loves this telescope. I wish we had found this first!

Celestron 21061 AstroMaster 70 AZ Refractor Telescope

I bought this for my 13 year old daughter for Christmas because she loves science. I didn't have a lot to spend, but still wanted something nicer then what you would get out of a kit.I was shocked at the quality of the telescope. I felt as if someone made a mistake, I paid 60 bucks and it's worth so much more. She loves it, I love it, one purchase I will not regret.

I was disappointed when the 1st one we received was damaged since it was for Christmas. We sent it back to Santa and received a new one quickly! My son loves his telescope and so does my hubby. It's easy to use and the clarity is good. It's a good, inexpesive option for your little astronomer!
